The Process

How does this all work? Here's a complete breakdown of the process for brides, and all wedding party/guests.

~Brides~

01

Make first contact

Reach out to your seamstress as soon as you purchase/order your dress. We normally don't schedule the first fitting until 3-4 months before the wedding date, but our schedules fill up so quickly! We don't want to miss the chance to work with you. (If you are panicking at this, don't worry! I commonly work with shorter timelines, this is just what is recommended. Contact me and we can work it out!)

03

The magic happens!

Your alterations get sewn with care by owner, Danielle! The time it takes to do this depends on my current workload. The second fitting is scheduled for no later than 1 month before the wedding.

05

The final touches are sewn!

We're almost done! The final fitting is scheduled for 1-2 weeks before the wedding (sooner if requested). It is recommended that the final fitting happens closer to the wedding because having a pair of seamstress's eyes on your dress will ensure the perfect fit on your wedding day.

02

First fitting

Here is what to bring to your first fitting:

-Your shoes for the wedding

-Any undergarments you are planning to wear with the dress, if any (if you don't have this figured out yet, we can discuss your options at the fitting!)

-Your dress

-$100 for your deposit

At the first fitting, you get to discuss your ideas and dreams for your perfectly fitting dress and get fitted by owner, Danielle Park. You also get a rough price estimate here too! Most commonly, a deposit of $100 is asked for at drop off to help cover consultation fees. This will go towards your final bill.

04

Second fitting

We get to meet up again! At this fitting, make sure you bring all of the items mentioned for the first fitting, plus any accessories or jewelry if you'd like to start seeing the final look come together!

-Adjustments are made if needed and the bustle is designed.

06

Final fitting

This is the most magical part! We meet up one last time and make sure everything is looking good. At this fitting, have some fun! Bring your mom, maid of honor, bridesmaid, whoever you'd like. I will teach your guest how to do your bustle, and we can see everything come together.

All payment is due at pick up.

At pick up, you aren't required to try on your dress again unless a side seam adjustment was made, but it is always highly recommended.

Oh Danielle, where do i start!!!!

I’ve been so nervous about my wedding dress not fitting correctly, and not being from tiffin i couldn’t find a seamstress who seemed right for me! A friend recommended Danielle, and i am SO happy they did. I got in right away, and the turn around time was amazing as well. She made my dream dress PERFECT in every way, fit every inch of me and even added a slit so my heels can be seen! I would recommend going to her for any and every alteration you may need!

Also her new shop is the absolute cutest and kid friendly. Thank you again Danielle, for making my ideas come to light!
