Ideally, we will schedule your fitting for around 2-3 months before the event. This allows enough time for multiple fittings if needed and ensures any last-minute adjustments can be made stress-free. If tighter timelines are needed, I can normally make that work! Just reach out to check with me ASAP!

Prices vary depending on the complexity of the work, but basic alterations (like hemming or taking in the sides) typically range from $60 to $200. More intricate changes like adjusting beading, lace, adding custom elements, or restructuring the bodice can cost $250 to $300 or more.

Common alterations include hemming the length, taking in or letting out the sides, adjusting straps/shoulders, adding cups, or adding a bustle (if the dress has a train). Sometimes I am also able to add leg slits, build in extra structure to the bodice, or add customizations like sleeves or belts.

It depends on the seam allowance (extra fabric inside the seams). Many dresses can be let out 1–2 sizes, but if there's not enough fabric, significant resizing without changing the integrity of the dress design may not be possible. However, in many cases, panels or corset backs can be added.

Most formal dress alterations require 1 to 3 fittings, depending on the changes needed and how well the first alterations go. A well-fitted dress often takes a few adjustments to get just right. The majority of formal gowns only need 1 fitting!

Yes! I have never come across a fabric or detail that I can’t work with! However, it’s more delicate and labor-intensive, so it will likely cost more and take more time.

No worries! If your weight changes significantly after alterations, you may need additional adjustments. My timeline is built for weight changes, so I always do my best to accommodate any changes as they happen. This is why it's best to schedule your final fitting as close to the event as possible (usually 1–2 weeks before).
